Microblading is a type of eyebrow architecture. It is all about creating the best shape for each face – a totally bespoke approach for each client. The needle very finely implants featherweight strokes with a medical grade pigment on the epidermis layer for the skin, creating fine, realistic and natural hair strokes.

It is important that you look after your skin until it is fully healed. The attention given during the first few hours and days is crucial to achieving the best results. Please refer to the ‘Eyebrow Microblading Treatment Advice section below.

Eyebrow Microblading Treatment Advice

Following their treatment, the client should be advised to:

  • Apply Vaseline as healing balm- 4 times a day for 2 weeks.
  • Clear fluid may appear after the tattooing for up to 48 hours (this is normal). You will need to wipe them firmly otherwise crusting or scabbing may appear.
  • Use water and a cotton pad to clean the skin around the treated area. Pat dry with clean tissues.
  • Before washing hair, apply Vaseline around the treated area If area becomes itchy, this is normal.
  • Do not scratch the area Colour will lighten by 30%.
  • Avoid getting the treated area wet (the pigment will peel off).
  • No make can be applied on the treated area for 5 days.
  • Use water and a cotton pad to clean the skin around the treated area. Pat dry with clean tissues.
  • No active skin care (e.g. retinol) products to be used for 1 month after on the treated area. (If you are using these products for long periods, it will fade the pigment faster).
  • Use a fresh pillowcase.
  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of colour.
  • No facials, Botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
  • Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after procedure.  
  • Wear a hat when outdoors.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days
  • Avoid swimming and hot tubs for the first 10 days.
  • Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the area.

Important note about showering: Limit your showers to 5 minutes so you do not create too much steam. Keep your face out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face should only be getting wet at the very last end of the shower. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area
